Eager to show off his skills, Chad Burton stopped by the front desk of Arrow Mixed Martial Arts to inquire about booking his debut professional MMA bout. Burton, who had just finished taking his first trial class, also asked about participating in the school’s advanced classes and joining the Saturday afternoon fight team sparring.
“I don’t have any formal training, but you saw me out there,” said Burton to the gym’s front-desk staff. “I’m a natural fighter and I’m, like, 200-0 in street fights. So, what are we talking here? Next month work?”
Burton acknowledged that with no formal fights on his record, he shouldn’t expect to rush things, and knew that it could even take a whole year before he was making his UFC debut if he got unlucky.
