Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan deserved to reclaim his title against his former challenger and current champion Aljamain Sterling according to a scorecard kept by former UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan. Taking the mic after the bout, Yan outlined how he dominated the fight from bell-to-bell and how any outcome other than him leaving with the strap would be an outrage. Yan saw the bout as a total destruction by Yan, awarding the Russian fighter three 10-8 rounds for the first, fourth and fifth frames. Sterling, for his part, fought back, narrowing the gap to a couple of 10-9 losses in rounds two and three by taking Yan’s back for several minutes in each round and outlanding his opponent to squeak out a pair of narrow defeats on Yan’s card.
