By Mike Diaz, father to 9-year-old grey-and-white belt Danny Cartwright, spent forty minutes on his phone inside Wildwoods Convention Center adding filters and adjusting the levels of a picture of Danny prior to his first match at the NAGA Battle at the Beach tournament, before uploading it to the “@deadlyguarddanny” Instagram account Mike manages. After several additional minutes’ consideration, Mike captioned the image “Losers make mistakes. Winners make it happen.”
Danny won a bronze medal in the gi and his mom, Tina, even stopped for a frosty on the way home to wrap up a pretty neat day.
