Proving he’s still got the same self-proclaimed expertise on the mic that made him famous, Jorge Masvidal was once again bringing the heat this week with a vicious takedown of former opponent Nate Diaz and new calls for a title shot with current champion, and former nemesis, Leon Edwards. Saying that Diaz, the lone man to lose a bout to Masvidal within the last three years, is a borderline vegetable, Masvidal claimed he was glad to see Diaz leave the big leagues for somewhere more aligned with his talents. He also acknowledged it may be time for Diaz to be moving on as, at just five months Masvidal’s junior, he’s a bit of an “old man” in the MMA game.
