College basketball fans were left puzzled Saturday night when one of three NCAA officials working the UConn-Gonzaga game in the Men’s Tournament Elite Eight scored the game for the Bulldogs despite Connecticut having dominated the matchup. The Huskies jumped out to an early lead and remained comfortable throughout the early and middle sections of the game, before stretching their advantage with a barrage of offense down the home stretch which Gonzaga could not seem to cope with.

Despite the apparent advantage one official still gave the nod to Gonzaga, noting that their offense was more meaningful. While many were confused by the ruling, ultimately it was generally agreed that the right team won so it’s probably best not to worry too much about it.
