Please double check) but his coach Alan Nascimento has revealed the slight complication that Chimaev is finding it hard to move around the world while also being a close friend and training partner to a gay-purging dictator and his sons. Oopsies!
The fighter’s manager is still hopeful of an effective resolution, and it is believed there is hope of getting the middleweight a United States passport and a crucifix necklace, since everyone’s fine with all the American Christians who hang out with Kadyrov. If not successful, the top contender will instead have to hope for the extremely unlikely scenario in which the UFC takes his title fight to a country where they’d have free reign to do whatever they want for Chimaev, but who knows where they could find a place like that.
